Maybe it's a little odd that it's Walter who finds Caro first as she exits the stage, probably about as odd as how generally sober and relatively put together (for him) he is. It doesn't seem to phase him much. It probably should, given the way everyone reacts to how he interacts with Caro. It's actually getting kind of annoying. Not as annoying as Zopf's everything is but still.
For now, though, he's actually managing to be a relatively responsible mentor. "I think you managed to salvage that one, sweetheart." He's only partially sarcastic with that one. "Nice dress."
